Alita : Battle Angel, or the dream of James Cameron directed by Robert Rodriguez

After having long sought to adapt himself, James Cameron has entrusted the reins of “Alita : Battle Angel” to his friend Robert Rodriguez. How grabs does one have for such a project ? Response of the director, and Christoph Waltz, and Rosa Salazar. This is a project that was long seen as a sea serpent : Alita, adaptation by James Cameron of the manga Gunnm, which he has set his sights in the heart of the 90’s. But that was before Titanic and Avatar, which now occupy the major part of his daily life and should continue to do so for a long time yet. The director, however, has not abandoned his dream to see the heroine of Yukito Kishiro come to life on the big screen, even to entrust the reins of the project to his friend Robert Rodriguez. But how is possession to be a feature film of this magnitude, cherished and matured by someone else for so many years ?
